بسنت کیا ہے؟؟*
اس کا نام ”حقیقت رائے“ تھا۔ یہ
سیالکوٹ کے کٹر ہندو خاندان سے تعلق رکھتا تھا۔ یہ
انتہائی متعصب تھا۔ لڑائی
جھگڑا اس کا معمول تھا۔ایک مرتبہ اس کم بخت ہندو نوجوان نے سرورِ کائنات حضرت محمد
ﷺکی شان اقدس میں نازیبا گفتگو کی، توہین آمیز اور گستاخانہ باتیں کیں۔ صحابہ کرامؓ کی شان عالی
میں مغلظات بکیں، جس
سے برصغیر کے مسلمانوں کے جذبات مجروح ہوئے۔اس وقت پنجاب کا گورنر زکریا خان
مسلمان تھا۔اس نے گستاخ ہندو نوجوان کو اس کے جرم کی پاداش میں گرفتار کروا
دیا۔بعد ازاں عدالتی کارروائی کے لیے اس سے لاہور لایا گیا۔اس کے گرفتار کرنے سے
پنجاب کی ہندو برادری سوگ منانے لگی۔ پھر
کچھ ہندو آفیسرز مل کر گورنر پنجاب کے پاس گئے۔ اس
نوجوان کے لیے درخواست کی کہ اس کو معاف کر دیا جائے، مگر
گورنر پنجاب زکریا خان نے صحیح مسلمان ہونے کا حق ادا کر دیا اور معاف نہ کیا۔ پھرعدالت کے حکم پر اس
نوجوان کو کوڑے مارے گئے اور تلوار سے گردن اُڑا دی گئی۔ ہندوﺅں
نے ”حقیقت رائے“کی راکھ لاہور کے قریب واقع علاقے میں دفن کردی۔اس کی یاد میں ہندوﺅں
نے یہاں پر بسنت کا میلہ لگایا۔اس کے بعد سے ہر سال ہندوو ں نے یہاں پر میلہ لگانے
اور بسنت کا تہوار منانا شروع کر دیا۔
پنجاب کا بسنت میلہ اسی ”حقیقت رائے “کی یاد میں منایا
جاتا ہے۔
1947ءتک
یہ تہوار صرف ہندو ہی مناتے تھے۔
1970ءتک
بسنت کے اس تہوار میں خال خال مسلمان بھی شامل ہونا شروع ہو گئے۔
سن 1990ءکے بعد ملٹی نیشنل کمپنیاں اس میں کود پڑیں،
اور پھر حکومتی سطح پر بھی یہ بسنت منائے جانے لگی۔
آپ
جانتے ہیں کہ جب کسی بھی کام کو حکومتی سر پرستی مل جائے تو اس کی اہمیت بہت بڑھ
جاتی ہے۔
چنانچہ 1996ء سے لے کر 2006ء تک اس کا عروج رہا۔
دھاتی قاتل ڈوریں استعمال ہوئیں،
جوئے کھیلے گئے، سٹے لگا گئے۔
ان دس سالوں میں275 افراد ہلاک ہوئے،
جبکہ 6545 افراد شدید زخمی اور معذور ہوئے۔
جب عوام نے احتجاج کیا تو 2007 میں بسنت پر پنجاب بھی
میں پابندی عائد کر دی۔
گزشتہ 12 سالوں میں اس پر سرکاری سطح پر مکمل پابندی
رہی۔
اور اب 12 سال بعد موجودہ حکومت دوبارہ تفریح کے نام پر
بسنت منانے جا رہی ہے۔ دینِ
اسلام ہر گز تفریح اور کھیل سے منع نہیں کرتا، بلکہ
صحت مند تفریح اور کھیل کی حوصلہ افزائی کرتا ہے،
لیکن بسنت میلے میں 3 بڑی قباحتیں ہیں۔
(1) یہ گستاخِ سول کی یاد میں منائی جاتی ہے۔
(2)
یہ قاتل کھیل ہے۔
(3)
اس میں معیشت کا نقصان ہوتا ہے۔
2004ء
میں بسنت کی وجہ سے محکمہ واپڈا اڑھائی کروڑ روپے نقصان ہوا تھا۔
اس وقت جبکہ ہم گردن گردن قرضوں کی دلدل میں دھنسے ہوئے
ہیں۔
ضرورت اس بات کی تھی کہ ہم ایسے قاتل کھیلوں سے توبہ
تائب ہوکر ملک و قوم کے لیے ایک ایک پیسہ بچاتا۔ ہم
پھونک پھونک کر قدم رکھتے۔ خدا
ہی جانے کہ یہ بسنت کیسی ثقافت ہے
جو اتنی معصوم جانوں کا خون پیتی اور ملک کے وسائل کی
تباہی سے خوشی ہوتی ہے۔
اندریں حالات ہم حکومت سے مطالبہ کرتے ہیں کہ بسنت پر
پابندی برقرار رکھی جائے۔ سرکای
سطح پر بسنت منانے کا فیصلہ واپس لیا جائے۔ اسی
میں ملک و قوم کا مفاد ہے۔ اسی
میں ہماری سلامتی و کامیابی ہے۔
